Bruce Grant

Co-Founder

Born and raised in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley, Bruce was destined to get his hands dirty. His childhood was spent immersed in creativity and innovation, fueled by long hours of tinkering with his father—a physicist and inventor—instilling in him a lifelong passion for building and problem-solving. With over 30 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Bruce has become synonymous with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to infuse creativity into complex design challenges. From 1996 to 2014, he served as a partner at QGI, where he helped create custom homes and estates in prestigious neighborhoods like Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, and Malibu. In 2015, Bruce launched Grant General Contracting as the sole owner, and since then, he has built and remodeled over 150 homes across West Los Angeles, the Conejo Valley, and the San Fernando Valley. Known for his pragmatic approach and unwavering commitment to quality, Bruce is a true engineer of value. Nicknamed the “Shell Answer Man” after the iconic Shell Oil commercials, he has earned a reputation as an ingenious problem solver. Whether it’s implementing fire mitigation strategies to safeguard homes in Palisades or redirecting coastal Malibu waters to prevent flooding, Bruce’s creative, common-sense solutions have made him a trusted figure among both his customers and peers. Beyond his technical prowess, Bruce is celebrated for his engaging personality and sharp wit, qualities that have inspired lasting client relationships. His projects are a true team effort—from the initial spark of an idea to the realization of a dream home—and his business thrives solely on repeat customers and referrals. Bruce prides himself on not needing to market himself – with customers knocking on his door trusting him to provide high end, quality workmanship that lasts at the most reasonable price. Bruce continues to lead by example, blending engineering acumen with a passion for innovation to deliver exceptional, cost-conscious results in every project he undertakes.
